Use .class.  For now, use “7,” to indicate Unclassified-Post Baccalaureate.  When we have a bona fide master’s degree program, we can switch them to “5.”  This field is already maintained in ADM, so we wouldn’t have to have another.  The adm2reg batch can populate .altrn in STUDENT with “A” if the .class is 5 or 7, and it can put “888," the .pos code you say you want for these.
