We see in the manual that there is a 6-month window for holding 13^th month open and wondered if SGU has always had the workaround mentioned.  Do we have a “permanent” workaround?

Your system doesnt have a work around, it is just recommend that you dont leave it open past six months.  But there is nothing that will force you to close it.  You just cant close any months in the current year until you close the old year. 

 

MUST we close 0304 before 0506 can be opened, i.e. we can’t have 0304, 0405 and 0506 opened simultaneously.

Yes you must close 0304, before you can open 0506... you can only have 2 years open at a time.

 

From the manual, we see that a user can log in to 13^th month at any time and begin entering budget data.  Does that mean that once 0506 is open, we can begin entering 0607 budget data as long as we log in to 0506’s 13^th month?  We don’t have to wait until June of 06 to start the process for 0607?
